One comment on “Survivor Statements for U-Boats of Bermuda”

Mr. Wiberg – how did you get the info about the three TABORFJELL survivors being “…interviewed on 30JUN1942 in NY by R. D. Warden Jr, LTJG USNR…”???
I am searching for early WWII sinking off New Jersey by multiple torpedoes, fast-sinking where some crew were afloat for 3 days on wooden debris before rescue by US destroyer. Specifically, I am searching for Jose Maria CAMEAN – age 25 or 26 – a Spanish merchant mariner. He is the father of Joe Camean SUNY Maritime College class of ’75, a friend of mine, now teaching marine engineering at US Coast Guard Academy.
I figure if you know about survivor interview like that for Taborfjell then maybe you’ve run across JOSE MARIA CAMEAN.
Please advise where else I can look. I’ve been all over uboat.net, usmm.org, warsailors.com, etc.
Thanks / regards / Tony Winig
